While reviewing my last post (it’s been too long! Time for some regular updates!) on the ALA and the general craziness of library conventions, I stumbled onto various library Flickr pages. I’m getting a sudden desire to become a librarian- good hours, plentiful reading time, satisfying organization tasks, frightening owls, etc…

Apparently, the American Library Association convention is a lot more fun than I have been led to believe. From the ALA’s Flickr page, detailing what appears to be a dance competition between different libraries, utilizing re-purposed book carts (the “Book Cart Drill World Championships”) and a healthy dose of Busby Berkeley style insanity.
